The book "Canto Jazz e Improvvisazione" exposes an in-depth analysis of male vocal improvisation; the volume begins with the glossary of the terms most used in this field of study, and continues by analyzing the personalities of the singers object of Rossini's analysis: Chet Baker, George Benson, Al Jarreau, Mark Murphy, Bobby McFerrin, Kurt Elling. The most interesting part of the work follows, that is, the transcription and analysis of numerous solos of the artists mentioned above, in order to understand their methodologies and style. A valuable manual, recommended not only for singing students.
